Brett Kavanaugh

Supreme Court Nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, attended the hearing at Thursday’s Senate Judiciary Committee. Rising allegations of the nominee inappropriately assaulting Christine Blasey Ford, now a professor at Palo Alto University led to this outcome. He claims that the accusations are completely false and a scheme by the Democratic party, to prevent the Republicans from controlling the Supreme Court. The Republicans are trying to push the hearing before the mid-term 2018 elections, to avoid the chance that the Republican Party loses control of the Senate.

Sarah Sanders, the press secretary for the White House and the Trump administration states, “Let them speak but also let Brett Kavanaugh speak.” When she refers to “them” she means the suspected victim, Christine Blasey Ford. Mrs. Blasey Ford claims in the early 1980s, Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her during a drunken high school party at Holten-Arms, a girl’s private school. Kavanaugh attended Georgetown Preparatory School, a Jesuit school, which means it was founded by Catholics and is within the Catholic church. Due to the allegations, she has taken a polygraph examination. Jerry Hafan was the name of a retired FBI agent who conducted the examination. Results he released stated, “No deception indicated, and “She was being truthful.” To add, a fourth accusation rose. On September 22, an anonymous letter was sent to Cory Gardener, a Republican Senator from Colorado. The letter explained that Kavanaugh also assaulted her, which is the anonymous person claiming to be from Oceanside. Kavanaugh was questioned by staff lawyers for the Judiciary committee because of it. According to a transcript, he denied it.

No matter how much Mr. Kavanaugh and Mrs. Blasey Ford deny anything, all truth will be exposed on the Thursday of the 27th.
