Hawaii is a tropical island southwest off the coast of the United States. It is known for its traditional Hawaiian food, its lush floral landscape, and its jaw dropping beaches. Hundreds of thousands of tourists travel to Hawaii to surf, snorkel, scuba dive, fish, and just relax at the hundreds of beaches Hawaii has to offer.

3. Lanikai Beach, Oahu – Described as one of the most beautiful beaches in Oahu, Lanikai Beach certainly lives up to its reputation. Not only does it have incredibly soft and powdery white sand, but also has aqua blue water that is as clear as the day sky. This beach is easily identified by the two islands off its coast together called Mokulua. Lanikai Beach is also an amazing spot to watch the moon rise, especially on a full moon.

2. North Shore, Oahu – Oahu is home to many amazing beaches, but North Shore Beach has to be one of its best. This beach is perfect for surfers as there are abundant waves that are perfect for surfing.  The seven mile beach is home to the biggest surfing competition and is also a great spot for whale watching. The North Shore is also accompanied by a wide variety of shops and restaurants that make it one of the best tourist destinations in Hawaii.

1. Kaanapali Beach, Maui – West Maui’s signature beach is Kaanapali, a spectacular three mile curve of white sand and crystal clear water. Located in Northwest Maui, about 50 minutes from Kahului Airport, there are multiple resorts to accommodate each traveler’s needs. One of Kaanapali Beach’s most popular attractions is the daily cliff diving ceremony off the beach’s northernmost cliffs known as Puu Kekaa, or Black Rock. Held every evening, a cliff diver lights the torches along the cliff, then dives off in reenactment of a feat by King Kahekili. There is no wonder why Kaanapali Beach was once rated the best beach in America.
