Cancun, a Mexican tropical city on the Yucatán Peninsula bordering the Caribbean Sea, is best known for its beaches, numerous resorts, and nightlife. Many tourists come to the city every year because of its wide variety of places to visit.

Cancun’s many attractions include its wildlife, beaches, and resorts.  Some theme parks include Xplor and Xcaret. Xplor is a jungle adventure park with rafting, river swimming, zip-lining, and many more. Xplor, rated 4.7 stars with 1,615 reviews, is popularly known by tourists traveling to Cancun and is a top favorite. Xcaret is another park very close to Xplor. This park is also rated with 4.7 stars on Google reviews with a total of 7,601 reviews. This park includes river swimming and snorkeling, many animal exhibits, and a river way through an ancient Mayan village.

Cancun also attracts tourists because of its many beautiful beaches. Cancun is best known for its 14 miles of white sandy beaches. Home to the world’s second largest barrier reef, Cancun is an ideal place for scuba diving and snorkeling. Some famously known beaches are Tulum Beach and Playa Delfines. Tulum is a relaxing beach town about 80 miles south of Cancun’s hotel areas. The beach is covered with white sand and palm trees that spread for miles. The turquoise colored Caribbean sparkles in the hot sun. Playa Delfines is exceptional because there are no hotels, restaurants, or any other buildings on this beach. Although it’s a great beach to go to, the water is very rough so swimming with caution is recommended.

There are also a wide variety of places to stay  varying from  luxurious villas to all-inclusive hotels. Nightlife in beautiful Cancun is one of a kind. There are dozens of great bars, superclubs and even lounges to ensure the perfect night out. Also, the wildlife at night is beautiful. Many animals come out to hunt at night. Some animals such as sea turtles, come to rest on the shore and lay their eggs.

One recommendation is to go to the El Rey Maya Ruins. Some minutes away from the Punta Nizuc end of Cancun, there is a number of Mayan ruins called El Rey. The site includes 47 remains of buildings and many tombs built by the Mayans. Having particular interest, there are two main platforms with their temples, ruins of a once part of the market, and many ceremonial areas.

Cancun is a tropical paradise that remains to be one of the top tourist attractions in the world. This place is home to all tourists looking for a vacation to relax and enjoy. It comes to no surprise considering what Cancun has to offer.
