  • Lotte World

The first popular tourist attraction is the amusement park, Lotte World, which is a highly recommended location to visit when in South Korea. It is a large amusement park that is divided into an indoor and outdoor area. It is one of the biggest indoor amusement parks in the world. There are many exciting events and performances to watch, such as plays and parades. These performances are perfect for families with young children. Additionally, tourists can even ice skate with their families or friends. All in all, Lotte World is the perfect place to have fun with friends or family.

  • Namsan Seoul Tower (N Seoul Tower)

Next is Namsan Seoul Tower, or N Seoul Tower, which is  is the perfect destination to get great views of the entire city. The N Seoul Tower is a famous landmark of Korea, and it is most famous for the nighttime views of Seoul that it offers. For fans of Korean dramas, the N Seoul Tower is the perfect place to visit, as many Korean dramas have filmed famous scenes there. Some examples of the dramas are “My love From the Star” (2013), and  “Legend of the Blue Sea” (2016). One tradition when visiting the tower is to fasten a lock on the rails of Namsan Seoul Tower. People say that if someone locks their “padlock of love” on a rail, their love for someone will last forever. Namsan Seoul Tower is a perfect place to go to see awesome views of Seoul and to seal tourists’ love for someone.

  • Dongdaemun Market

The third most popular tourist attraction is Dongdaemun Market. It is the best place for shopping and eating. Dongdaemun is comprised of multiple shopping centers and traditional markets. There are 26 shopping malls, 30,000 specialty shops, and 50,000 manufacturers, meaning that all kinds of goods can be found here. Mukja Golmok is Dongdaemun’s famous food alley where visitors can eat delicious Korean cuisine. Dongdaemun is open 24/7 and is always a great place to go to shop for the latest styles and get great food.

  • Cheonggyecheon Stream

Furthermore, for exercise and some fresh air, walking along the Cheonggyecheon Stream is the perfect activity. The Cheonggyecheon Stream is a 11 kilometer river that goes through Seoul. Cheonggyecheon was a stream in South Korea in 1392-1910, but it was blocked in the Korean War. It was recovered in 2003 as a urban renewal project. The Cheonggyecheon starts at Cheonggye Plaza and it ends at the Hangang River. The Cheonggyecheon is a great way to cool off and calm down.  

  • Gyeongbokgung Palace

Finally, for those who want a taste of Korea’s history, the Gyeongbokgung Palace is the perfect place to be. Gyeongbokgung Palace was built in 1395, and it was home to the kings of the Joseon Dynasty. The National Palace Museum of Korea and the National Folk Museum of Korea are located inside the palace grounds. The palace was damaged during the Japanese occupation, so the Korean government is in the process of rebuilding the buildings that were destroyed. They expect the building to end the in the next 20 years.
