It’s Time to Find Dory

Many Finding Nemo (2013) fans have been anticipating the confirmed sequel Finding Dory (2016) like an excited child awaiting their presents on Christmas morning. So what exactly is Finding Dory going to be about?

According to, Dory is trying to find her family and takes place a year after Nemo was found. Most of the cast is the same with Ellen DeGeneres as Dory, a Pacific regal blue tang; Albert Brooks as Marlin (Nemo’s father), a clownfish; Willem Dafoe as Gill, a moorish idol; Vicki Lewis as Deb (and her sister,”Flo”, Deb’s reflection), a four-striped damselfish and new additions like Diane Keaton as Jenny, Dory’s mother; Eugene Levy as Charlie, Dory’s father; Ty Burrell as Bailey, a beluga whale; and Kaitlin Olson as Dory’s adopted sister, a killer whale. Nemo and the rest of the “Tank Gang” are also making appearances, but it is not yet confirmed that Jacques will reappear because his voice actor, Joe Ranft, died in a car accident on August 16, 2005, during production of Cars. We also do not know if Alexander Gould, who voiced Nemo in the first movie, will voice him again because he was nine years old at the time and now his voice has deepened with age.

Expected to be released on June 17, 2016, I know for a fact that Caitlin D, seventh grader at KMS will go watch it because she said that: “…Finding Nemo was an adorable movie… and I can’t wait for Finding Dory to come out!”
