YouTube is an online media source where you can upload a video of someone or something to the web. Every day, at least 35 hours of videos are transmitted towards YouTube each minute. YouTube was founded by these life savers, Chad Hurley, Jawed Karim, and Steve Chen. The innovators became filthy rich as soon as the three sold their million dollar idea for $1,650,000,000 to the search engine Google in October, 2006. February 14, 2005 was the date when YouTube was created, but it became popular in the yearly range of 2006-2007. Although the entrepreneurs never found out who made the first video upload, the outcome was very profitable.
The successful business was surprisingly made in a garage by Menlo Park in San Mateo, CA. The country is located in the high-tech enclave and by the San Francisco Bay Area. The three employees from PayPal decided to upload something on a social media website, but just didn’t know how to do it, so they created the broadcaster. Now, YouTube is the world’s largest host of user-generated video satisfaction.
When the engineers brought YouTube into being, they never knew it would become such a triumphant site about a year later. The headquarters is located is San Bruno, California, including lots of entertainment with a slide and a mini-golf course.
There are very active YouTubers, which are people on YouTube who can upload and broadcast a video to other YouTubers. They don’t have to be popular; they just have to have an account. Some famous YouTubers, such as PewDiePie, smosh, JennaMarbles, nigahiga, and ERB, have over 10 million subscribers, their called. Subscribers are viewers who can subscribe, or follow, to any YouTuber. There are also different categories to view on the web-source, some like comedy, action, arts & entertainment, Howto’s (tutorials), music videos, and many others.
“My favorite thing about YouTube is the constant positivity the Youtube community brings and the quirkiness that brings an uplifting feel,” says Kraemer student who watches YouTube often, Alec C. “I usually watch my favorite YouTubers such as Miranda Sings, Tyler Oakley, Joey Graceffa, PewdiePie, and many others, I just can’t name them off the top of my head. My favorite YouTuber would probably have to be Joey Graceffa because he’s the one who brought me into the YouTube world. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have known the YouTubers I know today. I’ve learned everything from him, and I can mainly relate to him…”
From the meaning of Youtube to why there are subscribers, I hoped you learned more about the community that brings joy to all.
