Twilight Sparkle is one of the main characters in My Little Pony.

My Little Pony is a very adventurous animated TV show about a group of magical ponies who use the power of friendship to save their homeland and embark on quests. This show first aired in 2010, and can be watched through Netflix, ESPN+, and Hulu. It has 7.6 stars on IMDb.

My Little Pony is not the average, boring TV show one would see on a Saturday night, but a deep tale. It touches upon topics like friendship and teaches valuable lessons to people of all ages. Some main characters are Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy, and their general mission is to save their homeland. These characters symbolize the most important aspects of friendship, including loyalty, laughter, honesty, kindness, and generosity. Together, the characters embark on journeys through episodes, each focusing on their own individual trait of friendship that conveys important messages to viewers around the world.

My Little Pony is best for nurturing children into good people. For example, in each season, there is a villain the ponies eventually defeat during the last few episodes. Instead of killing off these characters, the ponies reform them, and these “villains” become allies instead of being exiled and eliminated from the series. An instance of this is Discord, initially a villain in the series. Discord eventually becomes good again and becomes a significant help in the series. Discord later assists them in defeating other villains. This is different from other shows targeted at children because instead of killing bad guys, the power of friendship transforms them, displaying how the show promotes good moral values instead of pure entertainment satisfaction.

Gen 4 was arguably the best My Little Pony generation. It focused on friendship in a way the previous generations did not, introducing characters with complex personalities and stories that children could not only relate to but look up to. Sadly, it ended in 2019, with the final ninth season. Through each season, the show strongly kept its message, continuing to make storylines that showed how friendship was magic. Even though the show grew, and added new characters, new villains, and new places, it still never lost the hearts of viewers around the world, little kids grown into teenagers, and so many others.

Student Muirelle says, “If not for My Little Pony, I would not be the woman I am today. The show’s lessons taught me things I will never forget, and for that, I think My Little Pony is the best show of all time.” This proves how the show’s impact lives and is so much more than just a source of entertainment.
