What is space? Space is a physical, boundless, three-dimensional universe beyond the Earth’s atmosphere. Space contains stars, planets, asteroids, and comets that get made into galaxies and quasars that maybe get sucked into black holes and get torn apart. Nonetheless, all these comets, planets, galaxies, and more are still just a speck of dust in the entering universe. This prompts the question of whether or not we should colonize space. For many reasons, the conclusion that we should colonize space is the most beneficial.

The colonization of space could provide a multitude of pros. One of those pros is that colonizing space could mean discovering new resources. These resources could be used for multiple new things we could create, which would open us up to being able to create new technology to help advance human civilization. Another pro would be that the colonization of space could help us find an alternative and cleaner source of energy and fuel. That way, we would be able to maintain a clean environment with an abundance of that new resource to make cleaner energy and fuel.

Furthermore, the colonization of planets could mean more advances in human medical research since the colonization of planets could bring new herbs and materials that could help cure or treat human sickness. Another pro of the colonization of space could mean communication with another form of intelligent life, bringing trade, technological advances, new medical research, and other advances to human civilization. Finally, colonizing space could stop the overpopulation on Earth since exploring and colonizing more planets would expand the human civilization’s space they’ve taken over, giving us more space to further expand the human race. Those future planets may not be so far away, with Titan being 393.42 million miles which should only take seven years to make that travel. Mars is another suitable planet with a few modifications being only 168.07 million miles.

In conclusion, colonization of space could bring a whole new age of technology and medical advancements since we could discover new materials not found anywhere on Earth. It could also stop overpopulation on Earth since, with more planets colonized, we would have more space for human civilization.
