Suns playing Bucks in the 2020 finals

In 2020 a rivalry was born between the two NBA teams, the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks. The Buck’s star players are Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton. Currently, the head coach is Mike Budenholzer and the team was founded in 1968 by Wesley D. Pavalon. The Sun’s star players are Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton. The head coach is Monty Williams and it was founded in 1968 by Robert Sarver. These powerhouse teams swept through the competition in the 2020 playoffs. Although the Bucks won the 2020 championship, many people have said that they got lucky and the Bucks would lose if they had a rematch.

To start, who had a superior record in 2020? Since the teams were in different conferences they didn’t play the same teams in the regular season, but we can still compare the score since the teams are around the same skill level. The Suns had more wins in the season with 51 wins and 21 losses, which made them 2nd seat. The Bucks were 3rd seat and won 46 out of their 72 games. Although it appears the Suns would be destined to win if they competed against each other, it’s not that simple. On average the bucks scored 120.1 points per game and the opponent’s average score was 114.2 so their difference was in the buck’s favor of 5.9 points. The average of the Suns was 115.3, and their opponents scored an average of 109.5. The difference is 5.8 points for the Suns, so now it appears that if they played it would be a closer game. With all that taken into account, the finals would be close. That’s how the finals turned out, a close, interesting, nail-biting, finish to the season with the Bucks taking the win.

Many people say that Chris Paul seemed to be off his game in the finals. In the prior games, he scored 30+ points while only scoring 20-30 points in the championships. Many people speculated that it was because he was nervous as it was his first time in the finals.

All in all, if the two teams were ever to go against each other again the game would be very engaging.
