Greatest Golfers of All Time

Golf is a game only a few can be good at, but no one can perfect it even then. Some of the greatest golfers go back many years, and others are still around now. It takes dedication and hard work to become one of the best at this very challenging sport.

One of the greatest and most popular golfers is Tiger Woods. Although many people know him as Tiger, his real name is Eldrick Tont Woods. He was born on December 30, 1975, in Cypress, California. Cypress is known for some of the best golf courses in the world, so Tiger was born in a place of golf. Although he was born there, he now lives in Jupiter, Florida, where most professionals do. He is tied with the most PGA wins, but he got in a serious car accident only a few weeks ago, which may stop his chance of beating the record. Before this, he had also had several back surgeries that kept him from playing for years. Tiger got back up to being one of the best when he realized he needed to for his mental well-being. Although he got in an accident, Tiger will surely get back up and learn from it.

Another very famous and amazing golfer is Arnold Palmer. He was born on September 10, 1929, and sadly he is no longer alive. Most people know him out of the golf world because of his drink, the Arnold Palmer, which is half lemonade, half iced tea. He was born in Pennsylvania and spent most of his time there when he was not traveling for tournaments. His nickname was “The King,” and he was widely known for his fun and caring personality. He has designed over 300 golf courses all around the world. He has also won over 60 PGA tour events, making him in the top 5 most winning pro golfers. Arnold Palmer did a lot for the game, and his legacy will always be around.

There are many more golfers who have made a significant impact on the golf world. It takes a lot of dedication to get where these guys are in the record books. Without them, fewer people would know about golf. Golf is a game that helps many people work out other problems, and just overall, it calms you. Golf is a hard game that no one has yet come close to perfecting.
