Student Spotlight – Ali S.

Ali S. is a 12-year-old 7th grader at Kraemer Middle School.  Before she came to Kraemer she attended Morse Elementary School.  Even though Ali is new to Kraemer, she still has many friends.  Some friends from her old school, and some new friends.  Ali’s full name is Alejandra, but she prefers to be called by her nickname Ali.  She has a twin brother named Jack, who also attends Kraemer.  She is the older child out of them by only two minutes!  She also has three other brothers which means life at home is never dull. She is smart, accomplished, and a good friend.

Ali has just recently taken up a new hobby.  A few years ago Ali did horseback riding, but she stopped due to a small accident she had while riding.  Recently, she decided to give riding a second chance.  She had her first riding lesson and did absolutely amazing.  She admits that she was nervous at first, but she slowly relaxed and had a wonderful time.  In the future, she wants to become a horseback riding instructor.

Other than horseback riding, Ali also loves to listen to music, read books, hang out with friends, and eat.  Her favorite book is called Girl in the Locked Room by Mary Downing Hahn.  Ali’s favorite foods are fettuccine, dino nuggets, and graham crackers.  Her friends say that she is a funny, kind, and, sometimes, weird person.

Ali is a talented student and is taking honors science, social studies, and language arts.  She works hard and tries her best to please her teachers.  Ali enjoys all her classes but confessed that she takes a little bit of a better liking to Spanish class compared to all her other classes.  Although she does have a favorite class, she takes all her other classes just as seriously.

Ali is really glad that she has had the opportunity to attend Kraemer Middle School even though it’s a bit different than she expected.  She can’t wait to see what next year will look like and is very excited to come back.
