The year 2020 has become a series of families becoming torn apart and friends FaceTiming constantly to make up for their absence. Southern California has come up with a way to celebrate not only Christmas but all holidays! Light shows have been a forgotten way of celebrating all holidays. However, because of the situation that the world is in right now, people have brought backlight shows!
Just a small fraction of how many light shows that are coming back is, The Elf on The Shelf’s Magical Holiday Journey, South Coast Botanic Garden’s GLOW, WonderLAnd, and Holiday-Themed Drive-Thrus. While driving through the lights, the amazing displays are something that people of all ages enjoy. Friends reunite while families can have fun photoshoots with each other. People don’t even have to leave their cars to have an exciting time with everyone they couldn’t have met during the coronavirus quarantine.
There are lots of varieties of light shows. One drive-thru light show was for the Dodgers baseball fans. To celebrate their first World Championship in more than thirty years! It consists of LED video displays, fake snow, and many more exciting displays. Another light show that would stir up all the amusement park fans is the Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags drive-thru light shows. Even though the theme park is still closed, people can enjoy the twinkling lights, the dazzling backdrops, and lots more! It’ll become a Winter Wonderland for everyone!
Hotels are also joining in on the fun! The Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel is hosting a drive through a forest! Over 52 trees that are upside down will be at the entrance. Every person will participate in the festivities such as gingerbread house making, photos with Santa, and live music!
Although this virus is limiting contact with loved ones, people have still found a way to prevail and have fun for the Christmas holidays!
