Greta Thunberg is seen as one of the most inspiring activists in climate change

Greta Thunberg, a Swedish activist known for her fiery speeches on climate change awareness, has been warning world leaders that they “haven’t seen anything yet” from the 2019 TIME person of the year.

Greta Thunberg is only 17 years old, but she is still one of the most influential activists of the 21st century. Greta has gotten over 1 million students to join her protests, and her Twitter account has accumulated over 200,000 followers. Thunberg has said that there has been a lack of leadership when it comes to the issue of climate change awareness.

Greta headed a rally against rulers in Davos, where she announced that leaders should be aware of their choices when it comes to climate change awareness. With this year’s Australian fires breaking many drastic records, Thunberg has ramped up her game with many more protests in infamous places such as Katowice, Poland, where she talked to the Secretary-General through a speech that was played over a million times around the world.

The teenager, who was born with Asperger’s disease, which is one that is similar to Autism, has persisted through hate and disapproval from social media from famous people such as Donald Trump. The President of the United States tweeted that “Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend!” However, Greta soon responded by updating her Twitter biography to exactly what Trump wanted her to amount to, a teenager working on her anger management and chilling with a friend. Although many have criticized her, many others support the 17-year old as well. Michelle Obama has told Greta directly that she shouldn’t “let anyone dim” her light.

Greta has been an influential person who is daring enough to challenge world leaders around the globe. She has rallied and protested in locations varying from London to Denver, from Canada to Chile. Ever since 2018, where she was first known for her activism, Thunberg has been fighting for climate change awareness. With fiery speeches and inspirational quotes, Thunberg is taking the world by storm. As Greta always says, “The moment we decide to fulfill something, we can do anything.”
