Famous movies such as E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jaws, Jurassic Park, and many others have all been directed by one man, Steven Spielberg. On December 18, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, young Steven Spielberg began to film and create short movies or videos. Steven Spielberg went on a bumpy road with his family, traveling to different states in his childhood life, such as Haddon Township, New Jersey, and then Scottsdale, Arizona, to attend Arcadia High School in Phoenix Arizona. After finishing his school years in a different high school in California after moving away with his dad when his parents divorced, Steven Spielberg attended California State University, Long Beach. While being a student at California State University, Long Beach, Steven’s career as a director was sparked. After finishing his schooling, Steven was awarded after his hard work in the film industry, an honorary degree from Cal State in Long Beach. Steven Spielberg had received his Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Production and Electronic Arts with an option to do Film/Video Production.

Then in the 1960s, Steven became one of the youngest film directors at the major film industry of Universal Studios Hollywood. In 1972, a greatly applauded television show, Duel, which became the first start of Steven’s long journey into becoming a successful movie director.

Two of Steven Spielberg’s colossal movie series highlights were Jurassic Park/World and Indiana Jones, which became Steven’s greatest highlights in his career. Jurassic Park/World were movies based on prehistoric dinosaurs from the Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Triassic Periods on an island with humans engaging the beasts so that no dinosaur can escape and wreak havoc on cities and states. In Indiana Jones, an archaeologist, and anthropologist, Henry Walton Jones Jr. has gone on prehistoric missions to uncover the secrets and treasures of temples with traps to stop anyone in its tracks. Because of the two movie series, Steven Spielberg became more famous as a director for more movies.

With Steven’s fiction and sci-fi movies, there were also historically accurate movies such as Schindler’s List and Lincoln. With World War II being one of the most terrible mass killings of a race, Steven Spielberg created, Schindler’s List. Schindler’s List was based on some German Nazis who felt sorrow for the innocent killings of the Jewish people. A man, Oskar Schindler, who was ready to make a fortune of money from World War II employed hundreds of Jewish people in search of work. After hearing about the mass extermination of Jewish people, Oskar then sought out to protect his Jewish workers from dying soon, realizing that not only is he saving his business, he is also saving the lives of hundreds of Jews. The movie Lincoln, on the other hand, shows off a brave man who, by the name of Abraham Lincoln, sought to find a way to not only end the Civil War but to abolish slavery.

Steven Spielberg, like many celebrities after suffering the hardships of family and money, became one of the most recognizable film directors ever to live.
