The 1990s sitcom, F.R.I.E.N.D.S., was a huge hit with everybody from teenagers to adults at the time because of the comedy, love, friendship, and more. The TV show starts with the cast being in their early 20’s and finishes with the group aging to be in their mid to late 30’s. Throughout the entire show the cast never let their fans down by keeping their performance up through 10 seasons of the infamously classic show. using their “hilarious” personalities and skills. The characters in the show become closer than they ever were throughout the progression of the show, and even the actors became close friends inside and outside of the show!

The F.R.I.E.N.D.S. cast is made up of 6 main characters, here are their actor’s names Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer. Jennifer Aniston played the role of Rachel Green, a woman who left a man at the altar and had to bring herself up from spoiled to living on her own penny by becoming a part in fashion. Courtney Cox played the role of Monica Geller, an OCD chef who is thought of as a failure by her parents, but by no one else. Lisa Kudrow played the part of a very unique woman named Phoebe Buffay, who lived a very poor childhood and eventually made her way up to being an awesome masseuse. Matthew Perry played the part of a guy named Chandler Bing, who brings the laughs wherever he goes. Matt LeBlanc played the part of an Italian actor from Queens. Joey Tribianni, who always took a little longer to process information. Last, but not least, David Schwimmer played the role of a nerdy paleontologist, Ross Geller, who was the brother to Monica and, to their parents, nothing ever went wrong with Ross. This was the perfect cast for F.R.I.E.N.D.S. because of how their personalities, even though it was not actually them, fit together perfectly.

Six friends who all live in New York (Manhattan) have to navigate their way through life and they have to learn to grow up as they approach their 30th birthday. They have to depend on each other and no one else to get through this rough time to overcome all the obstacles that come their way. Monica is the excessively organized and neat “leader” or “older sister” of the group who works as a chef while looking for her one true love. Ross, Monica’s older brother, is a laid-back man with low self-esteem and a very recent divorce with his wife Carol. Rachel is a bubbly and pretty girl who came from a spoiled life, living like a princess, but now she has to learn to live without her parents’ credit card. Chandler, Ross’s college buddy, will crack jokes at any given moment, giving a little more life to the friend group. Phoebe is a very unique, eccentric woman who is very lovable and would fit in with anybody. Joey is the man with the good looks and the smooth talking, but his intelligence needs to catch up with the rest of his body. He dreams of being a big actor, but can never find himself with a large role. These are the six lovable and “relatable” characters that make up the whole story of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and without them, the show wouldn’t be the same.

Me… the one and only, Lauren Nam, has reviewed the show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S this would not be possible if I couldn’t stop watching the show. It really was exciting and I could never predict what was going to happen in the next episode. Even throughout the 10 long seasons, because the episodes are short and the content in them is amazing, I didn’t get bored at all. I would recommend this show to anyone and everyone because of how relatable it is, the actors and actresses are amazing at what they do, and it never gets boring. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is a TV show that I will never forget because of those reasons.
