More X-Men movies, Disney movies, Marvel movies, and a lot of other movies are going to come out this year and in the next couple of years to come. One of the movies is a very emotional movie because of the story and family that the producers created.

It has been over twenty-seven years since the release of Disney’s animated film, Aladdin.  In those twenty-seven years since the film was first released in 1992, screenplay writers and directors got together for the live-action remake of the iconic Disney film. The live-action Aladdin movie came out in theaters on Friday, May 24, 2019. The movie is about a young street urchin named Aladdin who falls in love with the King’s daughter, Jasmine. They go on an epic journey and find a lamp that releases a wisecracking Genie. The movie is 2 hours and 9 minutes long, and the characters are the same as the cartoon, but there might be some changes. Like the plot might be a little bit twisted, the characters’ names might be a little different.

Godzilla: King of Monsters is coming out next on Friday, May 31, 2019. There have been a lot of different versions of Godzilla and each one of them is different than the last. In this Godzilla movie, an agency called the Monarch face off Godzilla, but that is not the only god-sized monster they are going up against. Two other monsters in Godzilla: King of Monsters is Mothra, which is a giant butterfly type creature, and Rodan, a three-headed pterodactyl-like monster. Godzilla, in the movie, is a monster that is a cross between a whale and a gorilla because of its size and its aquatic region. In all the different Godzilla movies, there are no similar characters except for Godzilla.

There is also going to be another X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix. X-Men’s first movie,  X-Men: First Class came out in 2000. Now, it is their eleventh movie and they have only gotten better. X-Men: Dark Phoenix is about Jean Grey as she evolves into the Dark Phoenix. While in space, on a life-threatening rescue mission, she gets hit by a cosmic force which turns her into one of the most powerful superheroes ever. When trying to juggle her own demons and her unstable powers, Jean gets out of control breaking the X-Men family up and threatening to destroy the whole planet. X-Men: Dark Phoenix is said to be the most intense and emotional X-men movie ever made, because the X-Men family has to go against a powerful now-turned-villain, previously one of their own. The characters are almost all the same, and the plot of the movie will be completely different, but it will still be as captivating and amazing.

The last movie that will be mentioned is The New Mutants. This is also a Marvel movie, but instead of all action, it will be a horror film. The movie is connected to X-Men, and although it is not officially called that, a lot of people call it X-Men: The New Mutants. X-Men: New Mutants is about a group of kids, who recently got their powers, learning to take control of it all while staying at a secret facility. People say that this is related to X-Men because the group of kids is said to be Professors X’s younger “batch” of kids he will be working with. The character in The New Mutants named Magik is Illyana Rasputin, the sister to X-Men’s Colossus. The original release date was supposed to be April 13, 2018, but was pushed back several times due to reshoots and major slippings, the newest release date is April 3, 2020.

These movies are only 5 out of all the movies that are coming out in this year and in the next few years. Most of these movies fall under a lot of different categories, such as horror, action, and more.
